Joseph Votto

Joseph Votto graduated from New York University in 1990. In 1993 he graduated from St. John’s University School of Law and was admitted to the Courts of the State of New York and New Jersey. Upon completion of law school, Joseph joined the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he ultimately rose to become Senior Assistant District Attorney. During his tenure at the office, he presented over 500 cases to the Grand Jury and tried numerous violent felony cases, obtaining multiple top count convictions. Upon leaving the District Attorney’s office, Joseph joined staff counsel for Allstate Insurance Company where he ultimately became the supervisor for Nassau County. Joseph has tried over 200 civil cases to verdict in all five NYC boroughs, as well as Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties. The cases varied from motor vehicle accidents and trip and fall to labor law and medical malpractice. Joseph is also widely considered among his peers to be one of the foremost authorities in insurance coverage matters. He has authored numerous articles and has frequently lectured on a variety of topics including uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and CGL coverage issues.
